With hundreds of Award Sites, the Website Awards Worksheet is one of the largest lists of awards on the Web today. The goal is to provide award seekers with a comprehensive list of quality awards and to help them apply for awards. Since 500 Award Sites, with well over 1,200 awards, is comprehensive by almost anyone's definition, part of the goal has been achieved. Future efforts will be focused on improving the quality of the awards that are listed in the Worksheet.

The Website Awards Worksheet is one of the most popular award indexes on the Web today. It is widely recognized around the world as a reliable index of quality awards. A listing in the Worksheet will enhance the credibility of your award program and help to promote it in the following specific ways:

	1000's of visitors view the "sample" Worksheet in this site every month. On average, about 65% of them click through to the "Download Version" of the Worksheet. Many of these visitors are the people you want to visit your award program, and they will have a link to click on to visit you.

	All the links in the Worksheet are checked every bi-weekly with Xenu. Any changes are listed in our Revisions to the Worksheet page, including new and discontinued award programs. Every effort is made to ensure the information in the Worksheet is accurate and up to date.

Most search engines use "link popularity" as part of their algorithms to establish your website's ranking in their search results. To a great extent, link popularity is determined by the number of sites that are linking to your website. More links from other sites increase your link popularity and improve your rankings in the search engines.

With over 50 sites hosting copies, your listing in the Worksheet will add more than 50 links to your website. This will give you a higher ranking in the search results. If you are listed in the first few pages of the results, more people will find and click on the link to your site. No other award index offers you this kind of benefit.

Tracking Visitors

Once listed, you will receive visitors from the Worksheet on this site, from the Worksheets in host sites, and from copies of the Worksheet that are downloaded by users to their own hard drives. The following guidelines will help you track the visitors you receive from these locations:

	Visitors from this site will appear in your server logs or counter stats as referrals from this domain, and they will have the filename "worksheet", "dvworksheet", "revisions" or "dvrevisions".

	Visitors from host sites will appear in your server logs or counter stats as referrals from the host domains, and they will usually have the filename "worksheet" or "hvworksheet". There will be other variations for some of the hosts change the original filename.

	Visitors from downloaded copies of the Worksheet will appear in your server logs or counter stats as referrals from "file", "direct" or "unknown", depending on which program you are using. There will be numerous filenames because most people change the original name when they download the Worksheet.

Visitors who use the Worksheet from their own hard drives are the most difficult to track. However, if the filename contains words such as "worksheet", "wsheet", "awardsheet" or "awardlist", you can reasonably assume they clicked on a link in a downloaded copy of the Website Awards Worksheet.
